Assertiveness Skills

How many times have you heard someone say, “Assertiveness Skills?” I wish I could be more assertive at times.

Have you ever been put off by others? How many times have you told yourself that you could have handled a conversation better only to make the same mistakes over and over? Do you prefer to avoid confrontations and keep to yourself? Are you exploited by others?

What is the source of this feeling? Many people have the impression that circumstances or others have influenced them to do something they don’t want to do.

The complex mix of factors that influence how we react to events and people around us includes:

  • Individuality
  • Values and convictions
  • Self-assurance and self-belief
  • Feeling of self-worth
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Experience, skills, and knowledge

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this course is for you. You’ll learn how to boost your self-esteem and speak up for yourself. No matter what we do in our jobs, we all have to deal with other people, whether they are aggressive or passive, and doing so well consistently requires a skill.

Assertiveness Skills

£145.00

Assertiveness is based on the idea that we all have a right to tell others what we think, feel, and need as long as we do so in a respectful way. Our sense of self-worth may go down when we don’t feel like we can be who we are. Relationships with other people are also likely to get worse because we may be angry when they don’t know what we’re thinking because we aren’t assertive enough to tell them.

This course will assist you in mastering a variety of skills when faced with challenging situations. Whether for personal growth or to encourage your employees to assert themselves confidently in order to benefit your business significantly. All perspectives are taken into account, and miscommunication is minimised.

Description

A positive and clear communication style can help avoid misunderstandings and reduce confusion, no matter what the setting is. There are still a lot of people who work from home, so the ability to be strong when communicating online is becoming more important.

By learning how to control your emotions, you will be able to have more controlled conversations, show confidence, and use these skills to build better relationships, too.

To go along with these things, the course will show you simple ways that you can use to boost your own self-confidence and sense of self-worth. During the session, you will be able to talk about your experiences and learn more about your own communication style and that of other people. This will help you deal with and reduce conflict. If you want to practise the skills in a safe and controlled way, you will also have a lot of chances.

Behaving assertively can be hard for everyone, even if it sounds simple and easy. For some people, it’s even impossible. In order to teach you how to be more assertive, we don’t just talk about how important it is to be assertive. We also teach you how to act assertively and practise these behaviours with the help of our expert coach.

This course can be delivered over 1 or 2 days at our Centre or onsite depending on location (contact our administration team directly for further information or to arrange a group booking. Group booking has a minimum number of 5 participants) or Remote Learning via Microsoft Teams.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
