COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES

Individuals

At Karen Blake Coaching, we understand that circumstances may lead to the need for cancellation of enrollment from a course or training workshop. If you find yourself unable to attend or no longer require a place, we kindly request that you provide notice of cancellation at least 14 working days prior to the course start date. This is in accordance with consumer laws, allowing a 14-day cancellation period after entering into a service contract. Failure to provide sufficient notice within the stipulated period will result in a charge of the full course/training workshop fee. If you cancel within 14 days of entering the contract, you have the right to cancel, but you must pay for the value of the service provided up to the point of cancellation.

For flexibility, if you’re unable to attend, you may nominate someone else from your company to take your place. In such cases, please inform your Human Resources Course Administrator, and we require confirmation of cancellation by the delegate’s supervisor or HR Department.

A cancellation fee also applies for non-attendance of part of a course if it extends for more than one day. If there are extenuating circumstances, please advise the KBC Course Administrator.

Please note that learners may be eligible for funding, meaning the course won’t cost anything to complete (subject to eligibility). However, a £125 cancellation fee will apply if a learner enrols and fails to complete or withdraws early from the course. This fee covers administration costs.

If you find yourself unable to attend and are unable to nominate a substitute from your organisation, the following cancellation charges will apply before the training course start date:

Cancellation charges – training courses:

  • 16-12 weeks before the course: 25% of the fee
  • 12-8 weeks before the course: 50% of the fee
  • 8-2 weeks before the course: 75% of the fee
  • Less than 14 days before the course: 100% of the fee

In-house courses or group events

If your company delegates cannot attend or no longer require a course, please provide notice of cancellation of the booking. The following charges will apply before the in-house course or group event start date:

  • Within 16 weeks prior to the course date – 50% of charges apply
  • Within 15 days prior to the course date – 100% of charges apply

These charges align with our contractual agreements with external consultants and venues, including any accommodation booked through KBC. Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing or via email to the KBC Course Administrator. Failure to provide any notice will result in your company being charged the full course/training workshop fee and associated costs.

On occasion, it may be necessary for courses/training workshops to be rescheduled. KBC will make efforts to be flexible toward any changes. There will be no cancellation charge if at least one month’s notice is given, and the rescheduled date is agreed upon within a three-month period after the previous date.

Course cancellation initiated by KBC

At times, it may be necessary for courses to be cancelled or rescheduled by Karen Blake Coaching (KBC). In such instances, the Course Administrator will promptly send an email to inform you of the cancellation and, if possible, propose a new date for the course. KBC will strive to provide a minimum of 10 working days’ notice prior to the course start date.

General Terms

  • All refunds will be made on a case-by-case basis.
  • Cancellation must be made known to KBC before the date of the Training/Workshop session.
  • If a Learner does not attend a Training/Workshop without giving prior notice to KBC, reducing the number of Learners to below 4, the minimum number of Learners’ fee remains payable.
